Hello! Welcome to my blog.

I’m not sure who or what led you here, but since you are here, thank you for stopping by. I know how time-poor we all are these days, so I’m thrilled that you have taken the time to visit the blog. Without wasting much time, let’s do some quick introduction.

I am Paul O'Segun, brother to a wonderful sister, and son to loving parents. My origins are Nigerian but my orientation is Western. My educational background is in International Relations; however, my interests and dealings transcend politics. I’m an alumnus of the University of Liverpool and I believe in continuous personal development. I can confirm to you, at the risk of sounding behind the times, that I’m a Christian. My faith plays a big part in my life, even though I am a work in progress.  I love dogs (especially puppies), the sight of pups puts me at ease. Their meekness and clumsiness make me want to melt.

This is an opinion blog, and I have started this blog because it provides me with a medium to reflect on things, share my outlook on life and to express my sentiments on issues I consider important or interesting. So, depending on how the spirit leads me, I’ll write about everything from current affairs to sports, lifestyle and life experiences to entertainment and arts etc.

Very often people ask where I stand on certain issues, sometimes a short answer does the trick, other times, it doesn’t. The blog will give more information and offer more clarity as touching my reasoning, even though the idea is to keep things concise and engaging.  

Since the postings are mostly opinions, it is fair to say there will be those who disagree with some of my sentiments. That’s fine. However strongly I state my views, I respect and welcome others’ opinions and perspectives. So please don’t hesitate to chime in with your comments and questions. We can have a civil discussion, and learn one or two things in the process.
